The process of replacing dipped beam optics

Proper installation of dipped light bulbs in the car - the key to success. It is necessary to understand in advance the principles of replacing such elements, so that then there will not be any difficulties.

To replace the "dipped" lamp in the Ford Focus 2, it is necessary to remove the headlight assembly. This is true for all modifications of the car.

The following tools will be required:

• a long flathead screwdriver;
• Torx 30 wrench (if available);
• gloves to protect your hands from contamination;
• new dipped beam bulbs.

To replace the dipped beam bulb, use a Ford Focus 2 pre-styling screwdriver:

1. Open the hood of the car and use a screwdriver to detach the headlight bracket. At this stage, the headlight itself does not need to be unscrewed.
2. Use a flat screwdriver to loosen the special fasteners downwards to release the unit.
3. Swing the headlight assembly parallel to the movement of the vehicle toward you. Here it is important to remember that the lamp is still hanging from the wires.
4. Slide the special latches located on the back of the headlight.
5. Remove the connector and push it out of its place. Here it is necessary to act with the utmost care, so that sharp movements do not damage the car's wiring.
6. Remove the contact block from the desired device.
7. Press the spring lock and remove the failed consumable.
8. Install the new socket in place of the old consumable.
9. Place a new lamp with H7 base in the appropriate slots.
10. Assemble the system and make sure it works.

When the user touches the lamp with his bare hands, the reaction may cause the lamp to malfunction. If you touch the glass, wipe it with a cloth dampened with alcohol after installation. After drying the system should work.
